Who is Zach Rofle?
He is the best-known constable of the Northern Territory. And he is in the charge of murdering a 19-year-old boy. He shoot a boy three times in just 3 minutes and 13 seconds. He murdered Kumanjayi Walker in the year 2019. Rofel reached the Walpiri country which is300km from northwest of Alice Springs and he was at the spot to rest Kumanjayi Walker with three other officers.
He fired three times at him and the 19-year-old get succumbed. The first fire hurt his shoulder and the other two were taking his life. Rofle after this faced a charge of murdering 19 years old.
Celeste Liddle gave a statement in which he wrote, “today was the first trial of custody of Rofel after murdering Kumanjayi Walker. Well, this is horrific history as it is the very first an officer is under arrest and custody. this sounds so senseless but I mean it.” He posted his statement on Twitter on July 19 2021 at 6:48 pm.
Rofel is free on bail and the NT police officer Zach is waiting to attend the summon in the high court next year. After the high court got ready to hear the prosecutor he not going to get any pleaded guilty so far. Well in his favor there is a statement that “he was done so well as a police officer to areestKumanjayi Walker.”
But prosecutors are so serious and they aren’t getting ready with this statement and still demanding justice for Kumanjayi Walker. They want an officer inside a jail for murdering Walker.
He has been granted the trial until the high court couldn’t listen to the case deeply. So the prosecutors are at a loss waiting for the hearing and they are in the hope of getting justice. As per the sources Rofel has to face a life sentence of almost 20 years.
