On Monday, Xiaomi-backed wearable brand Huami launched its Amazfit Verge smartwatch in India on Amazon.in and it has been priced at Rs. 11,999. The smartwatch will be available on the e-commerce platform from January 15 in the color Moonlight White, Sky Grey, and Twilight Blue.
Mark Mau, the Senior Overseas Sales Director, Huami, in a statement, said thus- “At Huami, it is an endeavor to provide our customers the best of both fashion and technology. To launch the Amazfit Verge in India, we have amplified the technological features on the wrist but we have maintained our fashioned designs. India is a growing and promising market for our smart wearables and this year we will be investing heavily in the region to achieve robust growth.”
Huami has partnered with PR Innovations, which is a technology importer, to market their Amazfit Verge in the country.
It comes with a 1.3-inch AMOLED display, heart rate monitoring, and notifications for incoming calls, messages, emails, as well as other apps. Amazfit Verge has been designed to be integrated with fitness solution for health-conscious people. It is claimed that the wearable will have 5-day battery life.
The company is also touting the presence of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with AF coating. It will be water and dust resistant, along with IP68 certification. It features 4GB (2.4GB user accessible) of inbuilt storage and has been powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It can stream music to Bluetooth earphones.
The Huami Amazfit Verge smartwatch comes equipped with 11 sports modes, a built-in GPS, and a heart rate sensor. It tracks distance, time, pace, calories, speed, elevation and much more. This smartwatch combines voice-controlled artificial intelligence (AI) and the feature to make phone calls in an ultra-modern design. The wearable runs on the Amazfit OS which is based on Android. It features 13 built-in watch faces, which have been designed in partnership with San Francisco-based Territory Studio. It is compatible with iPhone models that run on iOS 9.0 and above, as well as Android smartphones which run on Android 4.4 and above.
