Missing 11-year-old boy found in Poweshiek County: On Friday, 15th October 2021, the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office verified that in Iowa, human remains found in late September had been identified as 11-year-old Xavior Harrelson. According to the reports, the boy had been reported missing since 27th May. In an official statement, Sheriff Thomas Kriegel stated: “The body was found in a rural area nearly 3 miles northwest of Montezuma.” The remains of Xavior were discovered by a farmer who was tending to his crop of soybean. Who is Xavior Harrelson?
On 27th May, a family friend had lodged the missing of Xavior. As per some media reports, the young boy who was supposed to turn 11 years old on 30th May had just completed his 4th grade. Harrelson was a pupil of Montezuma Elementary School who went missing right after the school was off summer vacation. Xavior used to live with his mum in a trailer at the Spruce Village trailer park.
The principal of Xavior, Kurt Hanna informed CNN at the time: “You never think that would be one the last times you watch somebody. I am praying it is not.n Xaviour is always wanting to ensure you are in good mood and having a smile on your face.”
What Exactly Has Happened To 10-year old Xavior Harrelson?
As per ABC News, the boy had gone for a morning bike return and did not come back. On 30th May, around 500 people from the local community initiated a search operation. The volunteers included 375 volunteers along with 125 law enforcement workers. The FBI, who had been assisting with the investigation, was also part of the search effort. In order to find Xavior, the community has also increased $35,000 as a reward to anyone who can give any kind of details about Xavior Harrelson.
As per the local publication, Des Moines Register, locals have cover orange ribbons on poles and trees across Montezuma in tribute to Xavior Harrelson as orange was his favorite color.
