The cause for Sean Carroll’s death is that he got stuck in the basement when the basement was on fire, the thanksgiving morning tragedy occurred at 4:45 am in a home on Warren Avenue near Kensico road, according to Fire Chief James Gedris, a fire broke out in the basement for a two-story residence.
There were three individuals who escaped from the residence at the time when the firefighters arrived but a Sean was stuck in the basement. According to Gedris, he has been transferred to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he was pronounced dead.
The fire was restricted in the basement and it was put out just after 6:00 am, the cause of the fire is being investigated but it looks to have been an accident, he stated that the smoke detector was activated and the sirens alerted the firefighters to a fire.
