Mattiuzzo and her boyfriend, Daniele Volanti, were reported to have died instantly at the scene, meanwhile, a 19-year-old Volkswagen Golf driver was also left with the injuries but isn’t suffering from life-threatening injuries, there was a third car which also hit the wedged car but the driver was completely unharmed. It has been stated that the 18-year-old figure skater moved to San Marino from Milan in order to live with her father and just like her boyfriend, Mattiuzzo went to high school in Riccione. At the time when she was in Milan, Mttiuzzo had performed with synchronized figure skating group “the Hot Shivers”.

She even took the part in the 2019 Junior World Championships in Neuchatel, a town in Switzerland and after knowing about the devastating news of her passing, Hot Shivers released the following statement, “We have a good memory of her. She was a girl who loved being together with her companions, who relates perfectly to them as, on the other hand, our discipline requires, “We are destroyed and incredulous.”.
