On Thursday, National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested a former Mumbai officer whose name is Pradeep Sharma. He is one of the most prominent and well-known police officers. As per the reports, the cops arrested him for involving in scrutiny into the Antilla bomb scare case and Mansukh’s Hiran’s murder. Pradeep Sharma is arrested along with two other people for the same accusations. The court has ordered him to stay in NIA custody till June 28. Who is Pradeep Sharma?
Talking about Pradeep Sharma, he is a former police officer in Mumbai. He is mainly known as an “Encounter Specialist” along with the encounter squad of Mumbai. He was indulged in 312 deaths of criminals. Pradeep was expelled on August 31, 2017, from the Mumbai police due to the charges of corruption but soon got his position back when he proves innocent on August 16, 2017. After 35 years of working, he resigned from his post of a police officer in July 2019. On 13 September 2021, he becomes part of the ruling Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.

This morning, his Mumbai residence has been raided by the agency. The Mumbai police also reached the spot along with the officers after knowing the news related to the raid. Previously Sharma was under the custody of the agency where they questioned him for 2 days. He questioned him about his South Mumbai office. He is also known as a mentor of Sachin Waze who is an Assistant Police Inspector, he was also got arrested in the Ambani terror scare case. It is also being said that they both are very closed to Param Bir Singh who has worked as DCP in the early 90s.
Many other police officers and constables have been arrested in this case by the central investigation agency including Sachin Waze, Riyazuddin Kazi, Sunil Mane, cricketer Bookie Naresh Gour, and a former police constable.
