A piece of happy news for the US natives, the US athlete Paul Kipkemoi Chelimo is all set to compete at the finals in the 2020 Summer Olympics in the category of Men’s 5000m. Chelimo previously won the silver medal at Rio Olympics which was held in the year 2016 and now this time he is keeping his eyes on the gold medal. The long-distance runner also won a Bronze medal at the World Championships of 2017 and in the 2018 Continental Cup, he won the gold medal. He will compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics finals along with his US teammates Woody Kincaid and Grant Fisher.

It will be quite interesting to watch whether Chelimo will get gold after defeating the other runners this time. Chelimo is 30 years old US Army veteran born in Kenya but later on migrated to the US and settled there. He obtained his US citizenship by joining the Army and participated after taking part in World Class Athlete Program held in the year 2014.

Talking about his personal life, Chelimo is an affectionate father and a loving husband and he knotted the wedding tie with Brendah Kerubo Johnsons a few years back. Very few people know that the star runner even penned a touching article on fatherhood after became the father of a newborn daughter in the month of December 2018.

Paul’s wife’s name is Brendah Kerubo Johnsons who is originally from Nairobi, Kenya but also migrated to the US in order to live a happy life with his husband. Paul referred to his wife as a “Queen” in his Instagram posts while in another picture he wrote, “Behind every victorious man there is the hand of a Strong Adorable Woman.”

Brendah became the mother of a beautiful girl child name Arianna Chebet Chelimo who was born on 20th December 2018. In his article which was published in Spikes magazine in July 2019 on fatherhood, he mentioned, “In the month of January my entire life was changed-the day my lovely baby daughter debut in this world. She arrived at St Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs about a mile away from my house and when she came to this world I was burst into happy tears. Parenthood? I did not even ready for it.”
