As per the latest report, Actor Jay Johnston was banned from popular Fox’s animated series “Bob’s Burgers” after being recognized as a participant in the 6th January Capitol riot. The actor has not yet been apprehended or faced charges for being engaged in the insurrection. But Internet agents recognized Johnston ad a partaker in an FBI poster on 4th March and in a video of the Capitol insurrection. A person wearing a green leather jacket and a disguise neck gaiter, whom the Bureau referred to as suspect number 247, was recognized as Jay Johnston by fellow thespians as well. Jay Johnston (53-years-old) has been a part of many shows and films like Anchorman, Mr. Show, Men in Black II, Arrested Development, and several others. Jay Johnston gave his voice to Jimmy Pesto Sr. in 43 episodes of Bob’s Burgers throughout its first 11 seasons. He last came upon the 2nd May episode of the show and has been clearly absent from the 12th season.

Jimmy Pesto Sr. the possessor of Jimmy Pesto’s Pizzeria, is the business rival of Bob on the show. Pesto is so obsessed with Italian culture that he changed his name to Pesto from Poplopovich, to sound more Italian. He proudly sports Italian flag ties and underwear. In contrast to Bob, a hardworking and honest family man, Pesto is a divorced father who ignores his sons.

According to Daily Beast: “As per 2 people familiar with the case, top staff at the long-running and popular animated sitcom Bob’s Burgers are no longer permitting Johnston to voice his recurring character-Jimmy Pesto Sr. on the critically blessed Fox Show.” The Daily Beast also contacted the spokesperson of Disney and Fox, but they declined to comment on the matter.

The Fans Of Johnson Did Not Get Shocked After Finding The Presence Of Him At The Capitol

The ‘ban’ on Jay Johnston has surely caught the headlines of the social media but it looks like Bob’s Burgers admirers are not quite stunned as they believe that Jay Johnston involved in the riot is a “typically Jimmy Pesto Sr. thing” to do.

Actress Cassandra Church who shared the screen with Johnston on the show Harmontown made a tweet in which she wrote, “I am not detective, but I do know Jay. He said he was there and that was him in the photo. So…”
