In the meantime, Jennifer (33 years old), the elder sister of the Turpin siblings, remembered glimpses of their horrifying past as she said, “The only word I know to call it is “hell”… We were not even allowed to stand up. We were supposed to be sitting down all the time. Most of the time we were up at night and then sleeping in the day… There was a lot of hungry. I would have to find out how to eat. I would either eat mustard or ketchup and ice.”
Following the escape of Jordan from “The House of Horrors” in Perris, California, the Turpin parents were apprehended for serious “child maltreatment” and charged with 14 misconduct counts including “12 counts of torture and wrongful imprisonment, 9 counts of child abuse and 7 counts of brutality to a dependable adult.” Louise and David appeal guilty to all charges in the year 2019 and were convicted to life imprisonment with the possibility of a chance of parole after twenty-five years.
