Whitby Goth Festival Weekend Celebrates Halloween Return: There is a North Yorkshire seaside town who have welcomed the return of one of the UK’s most popular goth festivals, the Whitby Goth Weekend is held twice a year, in the month of April and October, but it was being canceled for a while because of the pandemic. The event is attracting thousands of visitors to the seaside town and it is being stated to be worth 1 Million Euros to the local economy, the founder of the festival Jo Hemisphere has stated that it feels pretty fantastic to come back, she stated when it first started in the year 1994, it was only supposed to be a one-off event in a local club but it has since grown to be a monster.
She stated all sorts of people have been attending these events including Harry Potter fans, bikers, and people who are well past pension age. The vent features live music along with an alternative market, the Whitby Goth weekend was first prompted by the town’s association with Bram Stoker’s gothic novel Dracula.

At the time of the pandemic, there were two Dracula fans on went on a 350 mile trip from Edinburgh to Cambridge, they were fined for breaching the Covid restrictions after taking a detour to see Whitby Abbey in homage to their fictional hero. It seems like the event is going to be a killer and there are going to be many people who are going to be attending these events.
It seems like the event is going to be back with a bang and the people are pretty excited as it is happening after a long time, the pandemic never allowed the event to happen which is the case with many of the festivals and events which didn’t happen in this span of two years as there were so many issues.
