According to the sources, the cause of his death is after suffering a heart attack at a shockingly young age of 29. The player, who has already represented Gujarat and Haryana in his career, has passed away on Friday, 15th October 2021 while being admitted to the hospital after he felt not well at his residence. Avi Barot Death Reason
His death news is confirmed by Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) President Jaydev Shah who informed PTI that “Avi was at home when he felt unwell. He was being hurriedly admitted to the hospital and took his last breath inside the ambulance. He was a very lovely boy and watching his talent, I brought him to Saurashtra from Haryana where he began his first-class career.”
Shah further added, “The father of Avi has passed away at the age of 42. He is now survived by his wife and mother who is 4 months pregnant. It will take a lot of time for me to accept this tragic and unfortunate news.” the young cricketer was competing only last week in a local tournament. Avi was a right-handed batter, who could also bowl off-breaks.
Shah remembered “I am still in a big wave of shock. He was just 29 years old and last week we had a state-level tournament Jeevan Trophy where he came and played. I in fact told him you are scoring runs, you can take it easy but he told me that “Jaydev Bhai we have to win it”
Barot played 38 first-class matches so far, 38 List A matches along with 20 Domestic T20 games. He was a wicket-keeper-batsman and attained 1,547 runs in first-class matches, 1030 runs in list-A games, and 717 runs in T20.
After hearing Barot passing news, The Saurashtra Cricket Association issued a statement in order to express its condolences and mourning on his sudden demise. The SCA stated in a media release “Everyone at Saurashtra Cricket Association deeply shocked and saddened on very shocking, extremely and untimely sad death of Avi Barot, notable and remarkable cricketer of Saurashtra.”
For SCA, he played at least 21 Ranji Trophy matches, 17 List A matches along with 11 domestic T20 games.
