Famous dancer and choreographer, Serge Onik recently passed away at the age of 33. The cause of his death is not known. He was the most prominent and established dancer and choreographer who had earned a huge name and fame for his work. He was a great dancer who trained many. He was the inspiration for so many rising dancing stars. He had done some good work in the industry for which he will be remembered always. Onik’s death is confirmed by Jim Keith who is his representative, he said in a statement, “He was an amazing dancer with a huge heart and he touched the lives of everyone who met him.” He added that he will always be missed. Onik’s death has come out as a big shock to everyone especially to his family and the whole dance community. All his fans are paying tribute to him after getting the news of his demise. Several known personalities who have known him or worked with him, are sending their prayers and love to his family and friends.
How did Serge Onik die?
Talking about the dancer, Serge Onik who was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine. When he was 3, his family shifted to the United States. He was a well-known dancer and was mainly known for appearing in a reality show named So You Think You Can Dance Season 11. He was on the list of the top 14 contenders. Apart from this, he also appeared in many shows including Bones, Dancing with the Stars, Jane the Virgin, Marvel’s Agent, and many more. At the age of 9, he started dancing and gained dancing skills in himself.
He was also a part of a Russian cultural program where he had learned the language, dance, culture, and more and then had performed it on the stage. After 3 years, he went on to the ballroom dance craze where he drowned himself as a competitor for eighteen years. In an interview, Onik stated, “What inspired me to dance was the beauty, the energy, and the ability to be creative with your body,” In 2014, he was linked to Alla Kocherga who was his dance partner but he never clarified about it.
