As per the sources, Prior Lake High School officials reported that an investigation is underway since a serious and disturbing racist video was shared on social media. The principal of the school, John Bezek has sent a letter to the families and staff in which he said that they are completely against the viral video for which the school will also take a stand, the school doesn’t bear racism or hate speech. He stated, “We have launched an investigation into the students involved with the video and will take appropriate action.”

He revealed that the school has been reported on Tuesday morning regarding the viral video. He also informed that all student leaders were gathered on Tuesday afternoon and have discussed the ways to come out of it. Another statement has been issued regarding the video by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community stating that it inset a minor in their community. Adding that it absolutely criticizes the minor’s comments.
After all this, protests have also taken place at  Prior Lake High School on Thursday. The protests have commenced raising the voice against racist video and it began by a student, Sarah Abraham, 16 years old. She especially came to campus to remember her own experience at Apple Valley’s Eastview H.S.
In the letter, the principal mentioned, “Racist messages like the ones in the video create an environment that is hostile to learning. I want to assure students and staff that we are committed to their safety and emotional well-being.” The viral video is really disturbing and heart-wrenching because some girls have been seen using racial slurs for another girl.
