The incident took place in Bawa Chak market, the video has since gone completely viral on the internet after which it came the case came into the eyes of the authorities and they acted upon it. Four out of five accused have been identified, Saddam (owner of Usman Electric Store) and employee of the store, Zaheer Anwar, and Faqeer Hussain (owner of a sanitary products’ shop).

There are another 10 unidentified suspects who have been also named in the FIR, according to the complaint filed at Millat Town Police Station, the complainant is a ragpicker, she went to Bawa Chak market to collect garbage with three other women on 6th December at around 10:30 am.

She entered Usman Electric Store as she was feeling thirsty at the time, Saddam started shouting at her and accused her of entering the shop in order to steal from there, the other suspects came into the shop after she started screaming, as per the complaint, they started beating the women during the course of the argument that they were having.

It has been stated the complainant that continued on to beat them for around an hour and made the videos in naked condition, upon hearing about the case, there were some family members of the victims who rushed into the market and they stopped the accused with the help of the passerby they requested the suspects to let the women go.

Pakistan Faisalabad Incident Victim Name and Photos
The victim has asked for strict action against the accused, in a Tweet on 7th December, Faisalabad police stated, “We police had arrested two accused last night. Further action has been taken, and five accused have been arrested. All other aspects of the incident are also being investigated. IG Punjab is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy on incidents of violence and harassment against women and children.”
