On 07 November 2021, Miguel and Iker met an accident during the final laps of the Algarve GP. Iker tried to overtake Miguel with two laps to go but it resulted in both men crashing out of the race. Hopefully, in the end, the racers come out without any physical harm and they are completely fine. After this accident, Miguel stated, “I’m sad that I didn’t finish this race, with the chances we had of finishing in the top 5, or even on the podium. But I was happy with my race.” In his statement, he also mentioned the crash and said that it went out of control to stop the bike and the crash happened.

Talking about Miguel Oliveira, so he is a Portuguese professional motorcycle racer who was born on 04 January 1995 in Almada, Portugal. He received his first World Championship victory for a Portuguese rider at the 2015 Italian motorcycle Grand Prix. Currently, he competes for KTM Factory Racing in the MotoGP World Championship. His father is a former motorcycle racer who always supported his son to become a racer. At the age of 9, he started his racing career when he participated in the national championship. In September 2020, he engaged Andreia Pimenta who is his stepsister.

On the other hand, Iker Lecuona is a Spanish motorcycle racer who was born on 06 January 2000 in Valencia, Spain. He is a young racer who is only 21 years old. Presently, he competes for Tech3 KTM in the MotoGP World Championship. Tech3KTM is a satellite team to KTM Factory Racing. In 2016, he made his debut when he replaced the injured Dominique Aegerter for two races in the Moto2 World Championship.
