As per the latest reports, the fatal road accident happened on Saturday, however, Indian High Commissioner to Canada Ajay Bisaria confirmed the news on Monday. It was reported that five people were killed in a road accident in Canada after a passenger van in which they were traveling bumped into a tractor-trailer on the Ontario highway on Saturday. Later, the five victims were identified as Indian students. The accident was really bad that took five innocent lives.
Talking to Twitter, the Indian deputies have expressed their condolences to the victims’ families. They also said that the Indian embassy in Toronto is giving all possible help to the friends of the victims. Mr. Bisaria also took his official Twitter account on which he revealed the accident news and also showed his sorrow over the loss of 5 Indian students. He tweeted, “Heart-breaking tragedy in Canada: 5 Indian students passed away in an auto accident near Toronto on Saturday. Two others are in the hospital. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims. @IndiainToronto team in touch with friends of the victims for assistance.”

As per the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the students who were died in the road accident in Canada were identified as Jaspinder Singh, Harpreet Singh, Mohit Chouhan, Pawan Kumar, and Karanpal Singh. S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister also expressed his sorrow over the death of five students who were killed in the accident. There were also two other passengers who were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries after the crash. Still, the investigation of the accident is still going on.
