A Connecticut father was alleged for using a racial slur and throwing a drink at a worker in a smoothie shop on Saturday (23 January) after his son had an allergic reaction that affected his health condition. The Connecticut father has been identified as James Iannazzo, 48. He was detained and charged with a hate crime after creating a scene at Robeks in Fairfield briefly before 2:30 pm, as per the reports of the Fairfield Police Department.

The authorities reported that the disarray started when the father went back to his home with a smoothie from the shop that allegedly contained peanuts that cause the allergic reaction that took his son to the hospital. The angry father went back to Robeks and shouted at workers, asking who made the smoothie containing the allergen. After a humiliating explosion, Innazo reportedly threw a drink at an employee and commented on another worker’s immigration status. He also attempted to enter the employees-only area.
Later, he ran away from the store before the cops arrived there. Later, he was arrested and admitted to the officials that he returned to the shop after getting upset seeing his son’s condition. Iannazzo was charged with harassment on the grounds of breach of peace, bigotry or bias, and criminal trespass. Now, the father is under police custody.
