She was one of the longest-surviving politicians in the Kerala state. She has gained so much popularity in his whole life. She has inspired so many people who known as an “Iron Lady”. She was one of the very stronger leaders with her own mind. She was a skilled and stong-will woman who earned huge respect and reputation in her whole life. Her death is a big loss for all of us. According to the reports, her demise is confirmed by her family members. She was 102 at the time of her death. A few weeks ago, She was admitted to Kerala’s private hospital Thiruvananthapuram. She passed away on May 11 due to age-related health complications. Her family revealed her death news on Tuesday. After hearing her death news, all his co-leaders and colleagues are paying soulful tribute to her. Everyone is expressing their grief on their social media handles by posting her pictures and videos with the RIP caption.
Talking about her personal and professional life, she was born on 14 July 1919 in Alappuzha, Kerala. She completed her school at Thuravoor and Cherthala. She earned her College degree at St. Teresa’s College and Maharaja’s College located in Ernakulam. She also studied law at the Government law college at Thiruvananthapuram. Her father was her great inspiration in her whole life, she always followed her father’s principles. She belongs to a very big-hearted family as they donated 132 acres of land to the government of Kerala.
Gouri Amma was one of the prominent and well-known Indian politicians and an advocate, Marxist revolutionary, diploma, author as well. She became the first revenue minister of the state of Kerala. She gained popularity for her involvement in the communist movement. After that, she became the leader of a political party of Kerala named Janathipathiya Sanrakshana Samity (JSS).
Gouri was the first woman from the Ezhava community who studied law. From 2001 to 2006, she served as a minister of Congress-led cabinet. She is the second MLA of the Kerala Legislative assembly who served for a long time. She served at so many posts. She was one of the sharp-minded and strong-willed politicians in Kerala.
