As we all know that UGC is bent on to take exams and on the other hand students are bent on to postpone it for further and there is a legal kind of tiff that is going on between these two parties. It is an open secret that due to the Covid19 pandemic most of the departments are in a standstill period neither their websites are working nor their department does better. This is not the first time when students keep signing petitions to justice.
UGC had asked all the universities to conduct exams offline, online, or blend process by the end of September. In today’s hearing the apex court to file make the stand of the home affairs ministry clear. final year exams are pending since from march and it keeps postponing which is not a good thing as well not the signs of a good education system.
This pandemic has brought too many changes in our lives and take a standstill moment. But the main problem which came into a student’s life because they are not clear and also the universities are letting them go anywhere for work. UGC should think about everyone the sites are not working properly their system is not even well so how can it be possible India is going through a very tough time and students are waiting for an exact judgment.
From the supreme court, because exams should be held after September and that too online according to students so that they can appear in exams offline at their examination center. therefore many petitions have been signed and still signing on. Many students are not in the environment to take exams because first the internet is not always working properly more over the websites too well.
The UGC, which is kept on criticized for holding final-year exams in spite of worrying about the coronavirus cases across the country. Out of 818 universities in India, 209 have already competed for the examinations while 394 are in the process of completing the examinations. He added that 35 universities have not reached final year exams said SG Tushar Mehta in the hearing of July 27. This matter has been gone so far because students are not denying for taking exams but they do not want exams nowadays, so UGC should think from the every possible angle.
