Tourist Family

Star Cast: Sasikumar, Simran

Director: Abhishan Jeevind

The young director has handled it brilliantly, moving away from the tone that says that films featuring Sri Lankan Tamils can only be made as if they were singing a sad song, and instead, he has managed to portray humanity with a touch of joy. After the press screening, many people praised the film. There was a special screening for celebrities and a screening for theater owners and distributors, who celebrated the film by laughing and getting emotional till the end. Here is a full review of the film Tourist Family, which has emerged as a feel-good movie.

Tourist Family Story: Sasikumar’s family, who are living in extreme poverty in Sri Lanka, which is in economic crisis, escapes through Rameswaram and reaches Tamil Nadu. They are caught by a policeman right from the start. But the police officer, seeing the nature of the family, lets them escape. From there, they come to Chennai and live a normal life in an apartment. Will a bomb blast bring them under investigation? Or not? Did they escape from it? Or not? The story of this film is about these people.

How is the film? After Ayodhya, Sasikumar is receiving praise for choosing a story that re-establishes humanity and acting in it. This film can be said to be a special quality event for actress Simran, who plays the villain and small cameo roles. Apart from Sasikumar and Simran, the performances of Mithun Jaishankar and Kamlesh, who play their sons, are also different. In particular, the performance of Kamlesh, the boy who calls himself Joseph Guruvila, often makes the entire theater laugh. The film keeps entertaining without getting boring till the end.

Plus: The way the director has handled the idea that humanity will never die is a big plus for the film. Following the director, the film’s music composer, Shawn Roldan, is another hero, beautifully conveying the story and the nature of the story to the fans right from his first song. He has scored everything from songs to background music. Ramesh Thilak’s performance also draws applause. Aravind Viswanathan’s beautiful cinematography and Bharat Vikram’s editing are also additional strengths.

Minus: The fact that the director has created the character of Sasikumar as a character that is slightly beyond reality and overwritten is seen as a slight minus. While the trailer was shown as a film that is going to talk seriously about the problems of Sri Lankan Tamils, and the entire film was made fun of, some fans were disappointed at some places. But, overall, there is no doubt that this Tourist Family film is a feel-good film that should be celebrated with the family.
