The 2020 Summer Olympics Games are already ready to start this week and this time the venue is in Tokyo. On Friday, 23rd July 2021 is marked as the opening ceremony of this sports event where NBC and Peacock are both carry coverage of the Games in the United States, the Olympics is also streamable on other streaming services as well. Due to this, it starts at 8:00 PM in the country of Japan, live coverage of the opening ceremony will begin at 6:55 AM Eastern Time (ET)  and 3:55 AM PT in the United States. The event will be telecasted live on NBC also streamed live on the app of NBC Sports and the official website NBC Olympics.

A mouthpiece for Peacock informed The Verge that the opening ceremony is not telecast on the streaming service, though it will surely cover the closing ceremony. The sports event is started from Friday 23rd July 2021 through Sunday, 8th August 2021.

The Olympics Games will be streaming for free of cost on Peacock with one omission: US men’s basketball live coverage will need a premium subscription to the service. A mouthpiece of Peacock informed The Verge that US men’s basketball games prior to the final game will be accessible exclusively on streaming services even on Peacock, prior to later telecast on NBC.

Apart from live coverage, a streaming platform Peacock has appointed an Olympic hub with enough programmings of pregames.
