Immunised travellers from other countries can also visit Thailand, but can presently only permit to fly to designated blue zones that are part of the country’s Sandbox zones which requires spending seven days in the destination they are coming in, prior to being able to travel elsewhere. Many regions across the country are already open for vaccinated tourists as part of its Sandbox programme, including Ko Pha-ngan and Phuket. Almost sixty thousand tourists have already visited the country since this scheme has begun, as per the numbers from the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Who Can Travel To Country Thailand?

Tourists from 63 countries who have got a full dose of Covid-19 vaccination can travel to Thailand without quarantine, from the 1st November 2021. The final dose of a vaccine must have been taken at least 14 days prior to arrival. Children under the age of 12 travelling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians are not needed to show vaccination support. Holidaymakers from most other destinations can pursue to fly to regions in Thailand that is now open to tourists under the initiative of the Sandbox, including Chiang Mai, Trat and Krabi.

Tourists just need to stay at least 7 nights in their Sandbox destination but can travel onwards elsewhere after getting a negative Covid-19 test result on the 8th day. Children under 18 travelling with fully vaccinated guardians or parents are not need to show a vaccination certificate when flying to a Sandbox destination. There are 17 of these destinations, designated as blue zones, on the list from 1st November, and is set to be extended again on Wednesday, 1st December 2021.

Non-vaccinated tourists can also travel to Thailand but must quarantine in an approved resort or hotel for at least 10 days on appearing.
