As per the sources, the accident has happened on Tuesday when the vehicle in which the family members were traveling bumped into a truck on National Highway No.333. They went to attend the last rites of Geeta Devi and were coming back home from Patna. Geeta Devi was the sister of senior Haryana police officer OP Singh who is the brother-in-law of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The family member of the late actor died on the spot.

According to the reports, Sushil Kumar, Lakhisarai superintendent of police (SP) reported that it was a massive crash between a truck and an SUV in which 10 people were traveling, they were returning from Patna. He added that mainly six persons including the driver of the vehicle have died on the spot after this tragic accident, while four other people were injured and were immediately taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The dead bodies have been identified as Laljit Singh and his two sons Amit Shekhar and Ram Chandra Singh. The other two bodies have been identified as Anita Devi and Baby Devi. The name of the driver is Preetam Kumar. The relationship of the driver with the family members is yet to be disclosed. The dead bodies were sent to the Lakhisarai hospital for autopsy. The four injured people have been identified as Dil Khush Singh, Tony Singh, Balmukund Singh, and Balmiki Singh. Two of them have been sent to Patna, while the other two are admitted to Lakhisarai district hospital. This tragic accident took six innocent lives.
