St Jean Sur Richelieu Accident: Mother and 2 Teens Killed In Collision In Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu: One more lethal collision takes the life of a mother and two teenagers and puts the family members into deep mourning. As per the report, a 42-year-old mother and her two children who were age 15 years and 13 years died in a lethal accident. The accident involving 2 vehicles in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in the Montérégie region Sunday afternoon. During the investigation, the provincial police found that a pickup truck traveling at a high speed collide with the family’s car which was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Boulevard Saint-Luc and Boulevard du Séminaire Nord at 10:30 AM.

This collide was so lethal that it took the lives of the mother and her two kids on the spot, Following the impact, police stated the truck dragged the motor vehicle for many years before coming to a stop. The 65-year-old driver of the pickup, live with minor injuries and was immediately admitted to the hospital. The police said he will talk to the investigators when his condition allowed him to talk.
For further investigation, the major crimes unit, The Sûreté du Québec (SQ)’s taken over the investigation and has a rebuilding team on the scene to determine the cause and circumstances of the strike. The name of the deceased people is not known yet and not much information is revealed about them. The cop stated that the cause of the collision is still not known yet.
Initially, it seems like the driver was dunked but during the investigation, it found that the alcohol does not appear to be a factor but the main role in the accident was played by the speed as per the report of the SQ. The much information about the driver is also not known yet and police also not share many details about him. The current health status of the driver is not informed yet. The family members of the deceased did not share any information related to the accident.
