Singapore River Hongbao To Celebrate Chinese New Year: Live Streaming: With the starting of a new month of the New Year, the Chinese people are all ready to commemorate the Spring Festival. As per the reports, for the 2nd time running, the annual River Hongbao event to commemorate Chinese New Year started on Sunday, 30th January 2022 at Gardens by the Bay with live performances and amusement rides being brought back. In-person festivities already started yesterday (30 Jan) and last till the 6th February 2022. The festivities feature music, dance, and song performances, and many other things including virtual activities also be held ad part of the hybrid event. The event features music, amusement rides, and of course songs and dance performances. These were not included last year owing to the concerns of the safe distancing. There are also 30 life-size lanterns,  including one of the God of Fortune. This is the 2nd year that River Hongbao is being held at Gardens by the Bay after more than a decade at The Float @ Marina Bay.

This is an iconic part of the Chinese New Year festivities, River Hongbao started in the year 1987. Festival attendees can look forward to Getai performances and a Xinyao night, both featuring local artists. The event is free but the attendees need to buy the tickets, as part of crowd control measures. Up to 4,4000 visitors per time slot can take the entry into the event ground this year in order to prevent overcrowding, as compared with 2,000 visitors last year.

Members of the public will need to book a time slot on the website of the River Hongbao. Time slots were already released in batches on Wednesday, 19th January 2022 at 11:00 AM. As per the information up to 5 people can be registered per booking. As of Sunday evening, the only remaining slots are on Friday afternoon, 4th February 2022. Those who are not able to book slots to visit the event ground can be able to watch the live shows virtually on the official Facebook page of River Hongbao. Not only this but they can also be able to take participate in a virtual exhibition on the website of the River Hongbao.

River Hongbao also has constants and quizzes across Tiktok, Instagram, on its website, and Facebook. Over a hundred volunteers, ambassadors of safe distancing, and auxiliary officers are deployed on the event group to help the people and spread crowds and to make sure that safe management measures are cohered to.
