A body has been finding out by the police, the body is believed to be of an elderly woman, the woman has been missing for nearly two months now, the case is coming from Christchurch’s Port Hills. The body has been found by a member of the public near Bridle Path, the body was found on Monday.

It has been stated by the police, they know the identity of the woman but they are still going to go with the identification process in order to be completely sure about her identity, one of the spokespersons stated this. It has been stated the police believe the body is of Shirley Warrington who was an 85-year-old grandmother, she went missing in the month of July. Her son-in-law stated naming Wayne Colville as he spoke about the situation for about 30 minutes after the family got alerted about the body, he stated it is still not 100 per cent certain if it is her body or not. The police are checking her clothes in order to make a positive identification.

The place where she has been found, it seems like the authorities were searching pretty close to the same location but they couldn’t find her which is strange, the body was found by a local, he further stated they are happy as a family because her body has been finally found, at least the family has got some closure.
It has been further stated Warrington and her husband Wally were traveling to Burnham after they left their home at 6:00 pm on Saturday dating to 10th July. It was alerted by the family an hour later, one of the officers spoke to the couple as he gave them the direction back to Christchurch.
It seems the couple got lost, they ended up on Ferry Road and then the couple turned right at Dyers Road roundabout which happened around 8:30 pm. The next confirmed siting of the car was at 10:19 pm which was at the junction of Bridle Path and Ferry Roads.
Police went on to suspend their extensive search three days after she got disappeared but the community did not give up and they kept looking for her, the community has really shown up in need of their beloved member of the community and it seems like they have done a better job than the police who failed to find the body which was pretty near to where they were searching here initially.
