The Delhi government has decided to reopen the schools for students of classes 10th and 12th from Today, January 18. The board exams have been conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education on May 4. Delhi Schools have been closed since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 12th board exams also had postponed in 2020 and rescheduled in June. During the pandemic, students are taking their classes online. Government reopens the schools for pre-board exam preparations and practical works as students are continuously pushing to conduct the physical class for pre-board examinations.
Delhi Government said, students, can come to school only if their parents allowed them to go to school. Schools are instructed to keep the record of which students come. However, Attendance will not be compulsory. Schools are directed to keep all precautions like social distancing, wearing a mask compulsory, sanitization, and others. Delhi Government, only allowed those schools to reopen those are outside of the containment zones. And teachers, students, and other school staff who lives in any containment zones are also not allowed to attend school. Schools are also instructed to not collect the students for assembly and other activities.
Though Syllabus has been completed. But students are instructed that they can come to school and asks their queries and problem to teachers. The teacher will help them to solve their problems. All the internal assessment, project, and practical work should be done, during this period. Teachers are also instructed to keep proper records maintained. During this pandemic, students take their online classes at home. Some students couldn’t take online classes as Some students doesn’t have their own phone.
10th and 12 class students face more problems as their CBSE board exam preparation doesn’t happen well. Last month, the CBSE board announced the board exam schedule of 10th and 12th classes. 10th class board exams will be conducted between April 1 and April 15. And 12th class practical will begin in March, pre-board exams will be held between March 3 and April 15, and board exams will be scheduled between March 3 and June 10.
