The renowned personality, “Sagar Sarhadi” who was known for the profession of a writer and a filmmaker, he has been passed away on 22 March 2021, at the age of 88. He is popularly known for his films such as “Kabhi Kabhie”, “Silsila” and “bazaar”. According to the sources, Sarhadi was ill and even he left to take the proper diet. He took his last breathes at his residence in the neighborhood of Sion, stated by his nephew Ramesh Talwar who is also a filmmaker.

Sarhadi started his career writing Urdu short stories which made an Urdu playwright. Later in 1976 Sarhadi gets an opportunity to write a film “Kabhi Kabhie” by Yash Chopra the renowned filmmaker of the Indian Film Industry. He also collaborated with Yash’s films such as Silsila and Chandni, for which he used to write the dialogues. Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi were the lead starters in the films. He had been also comped up as a director of “Bazaar” film in 1982. The lead starters in the movie were Supriya Pathak Kapur, Farooq Shaikh, Smita Patil, and Naseeruddin Shah. The film has provided hit songs to the industry such as Dikhayee Diya Yun, Phir Chiddi Raat, and Dekhlo Ajj Humko Jee Bharke.
He has been also written dialogue for a king than of the Indian Film Industry for his movie “Deewana” in 1992. The dialogues of the movie “Kaho Na Pyar Hai” also written by Sarhadi in 2000 in which the lead starter is Hrithik Roshan. When he was 12 his family migrated to the capital of the country (Delhi) during the partition. He studied at Khalsa college but left in between to pursue his dream. He was so, hurt due to the partition of the country. He was just 12 and this was the most horrible thing of his life ever, stated in the interview.
