There has been a sad demise of a Royal Instructor Air Force who has died after her parachute did not open in one of the training exercises, the incident has happened at RAF in Oxfordshire on Friday, it has been reported by Mirror. The name of the woman, her age, and her rank has not been released as of yet.
RAF Parachute Death Accident
One of the spokespeople for the Ministry of Defence has stated that the investigation is going on regarding the incident has been launched and the authorities are going to be coming out with a statement pretty soon. It has been stated by the RAF, we can confirm a service person has died in a tragic incident, they have stated our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and the family of the deceased.
It has been further stated by RAF, the incident is going to be investigated by the authorities and this is not going to be appropriate to comment on the situation at this point in time. The RAF uses the location to train parachutists from the army, Royal Navy, and Air Force, this has been stated by Oxford Mail.
The airfield is also home to Oxford Gliding club and it is only manned part-time for the RAF. There has been no statement about the name and identity of the woman, there has been no reason which has been given for the failure of the parachute as it did not open at the time which became the reason for her death.
