The episode begins with Khanderao who looking at the empty throne of his father and his mother Gautama Bai notices the expression of his son. Ahilya asks one court man that where is Baba Sahib and why he has not arrived yet? Suddenly Gangarao comes there and greets everyone and then he says to Khanderao that if you allow me can we start the function?
Ahilya Bai says Ganguba without the arrival of Baba Sahib how we can start the function, in this reply Gangarao says Choti Rani Sahib will not come right now because he is busy with very important work and he is not in the palace but this his order to start the function at the decided time. Dwarka Bai is happy but the rest of the people are upset and then he gives permission to start the function.
Khanderao says to Ahilya that have you heard, Didn’t you say that Baba Sahib must have been eagerly waiting to meet me? He will be waiting impatiently and will reach the court before time in restlessness now you believe in my words. In this reply, Ahilya says Chote Subedarji, everything is happing only with his order and every single thing here has been prepared under his supervision. Even I am not believing that he is not attending the function and then she asks Ganguba Kaka.
She says what urgent work he has gone for? Ganguba says sorry Choti Rani Shaiba I can’t tell you this thing but Bde Sarkar told me that he will try to come here as soon as possible. Ahilya says but we want to celebrate this function with him not without him and If you have any idea that at what time he is going to come then we can wait for his arrival. Khanderao asks her to leave, what is the need of that, Baba Sahib is busy and he has gone due to his own wish, so let it be.
