Many people in the countrysides of Boston were concerned on Sunday, 12th September 2021 as they watched a large plane that was surrounded by 2 fighter jets circling the area. Several took their social media accounts and asks the reason for this and aks why it was happening and keens to know about it. As informed by the flight tracking service FlightAware, the large aeroplane took off from city Portsmouth which is in New Hampshire at 2:28 PM and then landed around 4:52 PM at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease which is in NH. This view immediately grabbed the attention of local residents.
The path of the flight shows the aeroplane circle the MetroWest area- a conglomeration of towns and cities lying west of Boston and the east of Worcester that includes Framingham, Hopkinton and Natick—several times prior to taking a direct path with regard to Foxboro and circling back to fly with regard to New Hampshire. As per the report, the plane was in the air for around 2 hours and 24 minutes at the time which the altitude of the plane is displayed at 21,000 feet for an although it drops down to 3,000 feet and then again lowers to 1,500 feet.
Many people took their Twitter to handle the low altitude, the timing, the choice of aircraft as this plane was watched one day after the 20th anniversary of the attacks of 9/11 and this created tension amongst them. The user further wrote, “It was very horrifying. The very bad taste of those whosoever chooses these planes for the Patriots flyover. Slightly that’s what people think it was. This could have been a provoke for anyone that lived through 9/11 or lost their loved one in that tragic accident. Dreadful choice of planes.”
Another person wrote, “It was quite horrible and scary, without any warning, the day after 11th Sep and sooooooo low was a bad mistake on whoever was in charge of that choice.”
On Sunday, 12th September 2021, The Nationalist hosted the Miami Dolphins in Foxboro for their season opener with begin around 4:25 PM. The plane and 2 fighter jets were used for a flyover at the time of the pregame festivities which was in Foxboro.
