This news comes out as a big shock for her family members. She was a young and experienced doctor. Hence, there is not much information about her is available as she was not a popular personality. Flight Lieutenant Dr Mahnoor Farzand
On Sunday, the Pakistan Medical Association announced the news of Mahnoor’s death stating that she has died of Covid-19. As per the sources, She was eight months pregnant was having treatment for the Wuhan virus in Malir Cantonment at the Combined Military Hospital. She was under medication for a week. She took her last breathe on Saturday night. Since the news broke out in the media, several people are mourning her soul and also paying a soulful tribute to her. Her friends and colleague are also sending their prayers and love to her family. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
In a statement, Dr. Qaiser Sajjad of PMA revealed that Mahnoor’s father has also tested positive for the Wuhan virus. He is under treatment at the same hospital where was Mahnoor. He also said that Mahnoor didn’t get vaccinated against the virus. The doctor stated, “It’s extremely unfortunate and painful that we have lost two lives to coronavirus. Perhaps, the doctor did not opt for Covid-19 vaccination due to her pregnancy.”
When Sajjad was asked about the international guidelines on the Covid-19 at the time of pregnancy, he said that the experts were protested initially against the vaccination for lactating mothers and pregnant women but soon these guidelines have changed after the breakdown of many scientific data on this subject which was done over the months.
Dr. Qaiser said that now the experts also believe that the vaccine for the Covid-19 is absolutely safe for pregnant and lactating women. He also urged the medical healthcare providers to arrange a vaccine as soon as possible. Recently, another doctor of PMA, Dr. Mahnoor left the world on 20 August 2021 due to the Covid-19.
