USA, Britain, Italy, and India are some of the countries which are highly affected by the virus. Doctors have been working day and day treating the people who have coronavirus by risking their lives. To reduce the risk of community spread governments decided to impose lockdown. This will prevent people from unwanted movement and will also reduce community spread.
But now the government started to discard the lockdown rules and people started to resume all the operations. Since the ease up in the lockdown rules India has seen a rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases. Earlier the numbers were rising but at a low rate but now there is a higher growth rate in the increasing number of cases.
India’s COVID-19 count touched 6,48,315 with the greatest single-day increment of 22,771 cases, according to the Union Health Ministry appears. The nation additionally saw 442 deaths during the period, taking the complete number of death tally to 18,655. With a consistent increase, the quantity of recoveries remains at 3,94,226 and one patient has moved. There are 2,35,433 active cases of coronavirus in the nation at present. The government said that the recovery rate has additionally improved to 60.80 percent. This is the second successive day when coronavirus cases have increased by more than 20,000. There has been a flood of 4,57,780 COVID-19 cases from June 1 till date.
Maharashtra is still the worst-hit state with nearly 1,92,990 infections. The death count has also been increasing constantly which now stands at 8,376. On Friday 198 fresh death cases were reported by the health department.
Tamil Nadu is the second worst-hit state in the country right now. The state has crossed one lakh COVID-19 cases as of now. On Friday, 4,329 fresh cases were discovered making it the first southern state highly hit by a coronavirus. 64 new death cases were also added and the current death count is standing at 1,385.
Neighboring Karnataka on Friday recorded its greatest single-day spike of 1,694 new cases, taking the absolute number of cases in the state to 19,710. The state additionally recorded 21 fatalities pushing the number of deaths to 293. The past greatest single-day spike was recorded on July 2 with 1,502 cases.
Delhi – which had recorded its highest single-day spike so far of 3,947 cases a week ago – has COVID-19 count of more than 94,000. The national capital has announced 2,923 COVID-19-related deaths up until this point.
Gujrat and Assam are also witnessing a continuous number of increasing cases. The northeastern state has 9,799 cases so far. Gujrat recorded the highest single-day spike of 687 cases. Their current number of active cases is standing beyond 34,000-mark.
Amid a rise in cases, Assam has also started the country’s second plasma bank for the collection of blood plasma from patients who have been cured of the disease.
India is actively fighting against the pandemic on its own. Around 11,000 ‘Make In India’ ventilators have been manufactured. Out of which 6,154 have been deployed in hospitals as well. India is also working on the Coronavirus vaccine. It is supposed to be ready by August 15. Currently, India is the fourth country with the highest number of coronavirus cases. Globally there are 11 million active cases right now.
