As per the sources, a woman has died and other three people have been injured after a tree fell down in a northern beaches car park following a wild storm in Sydney. Emergency services have received several reports of storm damage across the region since 03:30 pm on Sunday, with trees and powerlines collapsed in the suburbs from Mona Vale to Forestville. As soon as the emergency services were being reported, Police, Fire and Rescue NSW, New South Wales ambulance paramedics, and rescue helicopters responded to the incident at a car park on Ocean Street, Narrabeen.
In the incident, a woman has lost her life and three people have been injured seriously and have been hospitalized right now. The woman who has died is expected to be in her 70s. NSW ambulance reported that a woman who is in her late teens has been treated for head and spinal injuries, and another one who is in her 70s has been treated for several injuries. Both ladies were immediately taken to the Royal Northern Shore hospital in critical condition from the incident scene.
Along with them, a young boy was also injured with minor wounds but did not need to go to the hospital. In a statement, NSW ambulance Inspector Christie Marks said, “This was just a tragic scene to attend. These women were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when this storm hit,” Meanwhile in Victoria, a strong thunderstorm warning has been issued for destructive winds and heavy rainfall in parts of West and South Gippsland, East Gippsland, and several parts of North Central and North East forecast districts.
