As per the sources, hundreds of pets are suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting after walking on beaches across Yorkshire. Today, the experts have claimed that a mystery dog illness has raised a warning for the owners of pets to avoid their walks on beaches that could be caused by a coronavirus. The owners of pets across the country were put on an alert last month after hundreds of dogs fell sick after walking on UK beaches. However, the highest number of cases are coming from Yorkshire.

According to some reports, an absolutely fit and strong dog Great Dane died of a lung infection after walking a Hayling Island beach near Portsmouth, Hampshire. Initially, Veterans have speculated that polluted seawater across the UK could be the reason behind the spate of vomiting and diarrhoea cases. One of the veterinary nurses has released a warning to all dog owners across the country to avoid their pets’ walk on beaches when she noticed that the range of ill dogs is increasing day by day.

Although the researchers from the University of Liverpool believe that the outburst of the acute gastrointestinal disease may be caused by a type of coronavirus. As per the experts, it is normal for GI cases to peak in January. They say that there was an outbreak of more serious GI disease affecting dogs nationally from January to May 2020.

They speculated that a mystery dog illness can be related to the coronavirus variant which is known as the canine enteric coronavirus variant. While the variant is not connected to the Cov-Sars-2, a virus that causes Covid-19. The experts believed that it was a natural seasonal variation in the parts of the country.
