Merrick Bank Robbery: Police Investigating to robbery in Merrick Bank: As we talk about 8th November, the Nassau County Police Department has responded to an incident which occurred at the Sterling National Bank at 11:00 am on Merrick Road in Merrick, due to the police activity which was going on, the area school districts entered a lockout. The superintendent of the Bellmore Merrick Centra High School District naming Mike Harrington who has released a statement regarding the incident, out of an abundance of caution, Bellmore Merrick schools are going to be under lockout due to the police activity in the South Merrick area. During this lockout, extra security has been placed at the doors and no one is permitted to enter or exit the location, the activities in the school were being proceeded as normal inside the buildings. Students and faculty who were out for lunch were permitted to re-enter. It has been further stated that the lockout was lifted at 1:00 pm, in a different statement it was stated by Harrington, by consulting with the Nassau County police department, all Bellmore Merrick schools are going to be released from the lockout, all of the faculty staff and the students are safe and the normal activities have been resumed.
