Youtuber Maridhas has been arrested on 9th December Thursday for the conspiracy theories which is surrounding the chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat’s death alleging that Tamil Nadu is “turning into another Kashmir under DMK rule.” The police have shared a screenshot of the Tweet which was posted at 10:13 am.
Maridhas has claimed that the state gives freedom “to create a group that can do any level of treason against the country.” He also claimed that “it is possible for any kind of plot to be hatched here.” Maridhas Tweet came after the IAF chopper crashed in Coonoor, killing CDS Bipin Rawat.
Why was YouTuber Maridhas Arrested?
The chopper crashed in the Nilgris district, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were among the leaders who paid tributes to Gen Rawat, he was the country’s first Chief of Defence Staff, apart from his wife, CDS Rawat accompanied by his DA Brigadier LS Lidder and SO Lieutenant Colonel Harjinder Singh.
Other defence personnel who were on the helicopter were, Indian Air Force’s Mi 17 V5 helicopter were Wg Cdr PS Chauhan, Sqn Ldr K Singh, JWO Das, JWO Pradeep A, Hav Satpal, Nk Gursewak Singh, Nk Jitender, L/Nk Vivek and L/Nk S Teja. Group Captain Varun Singh, SC, Directing Staff at DSSC, the sole survivor of the crash, is undergoing treatment at Military Hospital in Wellington.
