The police commander said the driver whose vehicle was involved in the accident was traveling from Kitui towards Machakos. According to the reports, when the driver reached Mithini bridge which is next to the Green Hun junction his vehicle hit a herd of cattle on the highway. Kirui also claimed that a matatu, which was closely following his vehicle swerved to the right and struck another motor vehicle.
