Last night, the family of Lucinda Riley announces her demised news on Twitter and stated that the author has sadly demised away on Thursday, 11th June 2021, and the reason for her death was caused due to succumbed to the four-year-long battle against cancer. In the statement addressed to Ms. Riley’s readers and friends on social media last night, Riley’s family stated “We are so sorry to inform you that Lucinda Riley passed away peacefully in the crack of dawn, enclosed by her family, who were so essential to her.
They further added, “We know that this news is so dreadful shock for many people, who did not know that Lucina had been fighting with cancer for 4 years. She touched the lives of all those people she met and those who love to read her novels and turned the pages of her written stories. She emits kindness and love in everything she did, and her novels will carry on to inspire us all continually. Above all, she loved her life and lived and enjoyed every moment to the full,.”
Another statement was also released by Pan Macmillan’s publishing from Jeremy Trevathan: “It has been an enormous and very rare prerogative to work with Lucinda. Popular fiction is often looked down on but when writers like Lucinda breakthrough and bang an emotional arpeggio with their bibliophile that really is the delight of publishing. Riley had an extensive capacity for friendship, love, and fun and I was dignified to call her a friend.”
Riley was born in February 1966 in Drumbeg, Co Down, and later on, moved to Britain as a child and though studying drama with the aim of becoming an actress. She wrote her first novel in 1992 and then gone to sell above 30 million copies of her novels globally.
