Leamington Spa Accident Today
After the blaze in Leamington Spa at the Leeson Polyurethanes Ltd., all homes were evacuated immediately from where some reports have come of a strong chemical odor and explosion. As per the sources, on Friday morning, a large plume of black smoke starts to rise from the spot that was shown from miles away. There are some reports that have come to the lights that a person is missing after the explosion. Several people shared a number of videos from the incident that are getting viral on social media.

According to the reports, the missing person is an employee of the manufacturer company. The Warwickshire police have already informed his family about his missing. Superintendent Mike Smith described the on-site fire on Juno Drive as “incredibly challenging” and also revealed that other employees are absolutely safe. The company posted a brief statement on its website stating that “a major incident had occurred on the campus”.
The police said that all residence had been evacuated that were within 100m of the spot, along with those living within 500m are advised to close their doors and windows of their houses. A person from the public passed a statement that his family members were provided the masks to wear when his neighbors were asked to evacuate. Barnaby Briggs, Chief fire officer from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service stated that the reason behind this explosion is vats of chemicals that were caught were in the flames.
He stated that the fire was brought under control, but it would take some days to be completely extinguished. Anna Harrington-Ridley from a nearby resident said that she listened to the explosions when she was on her way to work in nearby Whitnash, she saw the smoke first around 10:30.
