Koga Toshihiko Death Reason: Olympic Judo Champion Koga Toshihiko Dies at 53 Check His Wikipedia, Biography

Japanese Olympic Judo Champion Koga Toshihiko has been passed away on Wednesday at the age of 53. He was suffering from cancer and was underwent cancer surgery last year. He became the champion of Japanese Olympic Judo Champion Koga Toshihiko in the year 1992. He passed away at his residence in Kawasaki near Tokyo.

Toshihiko was scheduled to become a player in the Tokyo Olympic torch relay in May under the native prefecture of saga, southwestern japan. The relay introduced on Thursday in Fukushima prefecture in the northeast area of the country.

Koga had an injury in his left leg still he owns the gold medal in the category of men’s 71 kilograms at the Barcelona games. He was won a silver medal in the category of 78 kilograms in the Atlanta Olympics in the year 1996.

He provided coaching to the women’s national judo team, after retiring from the post or as a competitor. He also teaches judo at the international Pacific University which is in Okayama, western Japan. And now it is known as one of the strongest women’s judo teams or clubs in the country.

Toshihiko was born in Saga, Japan. And takes coaching from two Olympic gold medalist Hidehiko Yoshida and Makoto Takimoto. He went to Tokyo to pursue his Judo passion. He gets educated at Nippon Sport Science University. Later his hard work greeted him with five championships at the Kodokan Cup and six championships at All-Japan Judo Championship.

He received the third position at World Judo Championship which was played in Essen. While he lost the game at the summer Olympics which was placed in the year 1988. He won the world cup championship twice once in 1989 and another in 1991. And he returned to the competition in 1992. And won the gold medal from the Japanese Olympic Committee.

He got retired from the competition in 2000. And coached to the All Women Judo team. And opened a Judo school for the young children named Koga Juku. He was the 7th dank rank holder in judo and from there he receives fame by appearing on Tv shows regarding sports and Judo.
