Directed by Mari Selvaraj, starring Dhanush, the move Karnan has been released in theaters on April 9 and has set the box office on complete fire. 10 crores have already been accumulated by the film on his first day at the theaters. The theaters have been operating under-occupancy of 100 people but now the government has come up with a plan to control the corona cases which has led to only 50 people occupancy in the theaters.

Thousands of people have shown up to the theaters to watch the film but the collection has started to dip down because of the 50 people occupancy rule that has been set up by the Tamil Nadu government. 1.43 crores have been collected by the movie in 2 days of its running in Chennai itself. LM Kaushik who is a trade analyst is stating that the 50 people occupancy will give encouragement to the elders and families to go to the theaters and enjoy the movie to its fullest. Another trade analyst Taran Adarsh has stated that the movie is having a dream start and is doing pretty well across other countries such as Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand.

The movie has definitely gone through a dream start as even after the corona situation that is pretty drastic, the movie has still managed to earn and form some huge numbers when it comes to the box office collection. Dhanush has been phenomenal throughout the movie and his fans are flowering him with such abundance as to appreciate his acting skills that have up to the par. The movie seems to carry on these huge numbers in the coming week and will probably enter the 100 crore club in no time by the looks of it.
