Bollywood has always been a difficult place for newcomers especially the ones who are from a non-Bollywood background with no family members in the entertainment industry. Recently Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide in his apartment. He was found dead, hanging in his apartment on a Sunday morning. It came to limelight then that the actor was suffering from depression for a long time and no one till now has noticed it. But after his demise, people have been digging up and playing the blame game.
Bollywood is a place where powerful families rule the industry. Any newcomer has to struggle hard in order to make it big in the industry. Same was the case with Sushant Singh Rajput, the television actor moved to the big screen but was not completely accepted by the industry. And who knows there might be other reasons as well. The story could be much bigger than it is just shown to people. No one knew that Sushant was going through such a hard time and his depression was at this peek that he had to take such a step of killing himself.
After his death, many people bashed Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt blaming them for the cause of Sushant’s death. Karan Johar faced criticism on bringing nepotism to the Bollywood industry and supporting only the star kids to make their future bright in Bollywood. Alia Bhatt was also attacked because of her video on the show Koffee with Karan where she and Karan Johar was found mocking Sushant and not acknowledging Sushant as a vital part of Bollywood.
Just like Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, the social media is now playing the same game with Kareena Kapoor Khan. A video of Kareena Kapoor is going viral on social media where she advised her daughter Sara Ali Khan not to date their first co-star.
Although the first co-star could have been anyone, apparently here it was Sushant Singh Rajput. Sara Ali Khan made her debut in Bollywood alongside Sushant with the movie Kedarnath. Hence the video is going viral bashing Kareena and claiming that Kareena Kapoor is so arrogant that she never supports any newcomer. People on social media are criticizing Kareena for making comments against Sushant and being one of the reasons why he was never accepted in Bollywood.
Not only this a case has been filed against Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Aditya Chopra, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Bihar’s court alleging that the celebrities being the reason for his depression.
Nepotism in Bollywood is not a new thing it has been going for a long time now. But there are many stars who came up and made their name big in the industry.
Death of Sushant Singh Rajput was just unfortunate, maybe he might be going with something so big that he thought everyone failed him and there’s no point of living anymore. But making his death a subject to criticize others is a wrong notion. His family might be going through such a hard time now as they lost their son and on that seeing all this on social media will just make them even sadder.
This year has already been going really tough, the pandemic prevailing, unemployment to its peak, and death of good actors one by one is already a lot to take. In these hard times, we should all support each other instead of playing the blame game.
Hopefully, Sushant Singh Rajput might have found his peace now as he was already suffering from a lot.
