Who was John Elliott? What was John Elliott’s cause of death? Carlton’s boss dies aged 79 There has been a sad demise of a former Liberal Party President John Elliott who has died in the hospital at the age of 79. The businessman was a federal president of the Liberal Party from the year 1987 to 1990, he was also the treasurer and vice-president of the Liberal party in Victoria and was its federal treasurer.

He has also served as the president of the Carlton Football Club from 1983 to 2002 which is presiding over two AFL premierships, the name of his son Tom Elliott who has confirmed the death of his father to the Herald Sun on Thursday in the evening. He stated, sadly his father John Elliott died just a couple of hours ago.

John Elliott’s cause of death?

He further stated he has been ill for weeks now, he had a bad fall which happened a little while back and he has been at the Epworth Hospital at Richmond. There has been a piece of the sad news that this afternoon he had taken his last breath. Elliott would have been 80 in the month of October.

Tributes have been coming from all around the world from the Liberal party members at both the state and federal levels, the condolences have been presented by Brian Loughnane, he stated he was an important figure in the life of the party nationally and in Victoria during a critical period.

How Did John Elliott Die?

He was always someone who you could have the count on to give advice, he was one of the wisest guys he knew, he is going to be greatly missed, he has also been eulogized by his Carlton Football Club on Twitter, where he served for two decades as the president, he won premierships in the year 1987 and 1995.

He was sacked following the 2002 season after Carlton was found breaching the salary cap rules, he was born in Melbourne in the year 1941, he attended the Carey Grammar, and then he went to the Melbourne University, he was working in the business until 1972 when he formed a consortium to buy the IXL food group.

He was the managing director of the group and he became the in-charge of Australia’s largest private exporter when it comes to agricultural products. He was a legend in the field and he has made a lot of money and provided employment to many people, tributes have been flowing on the internet for the longest time.
