Where was ‘ITV Drama The Tower’ Filmed?
The first novel of Crime writer Kate London, titled “Post Mortem” has been adapted for the small screen and the series is constructed up of 3 episodes. The series starts with a veteran police officer and a teen girl who is falling to their demises from the top of a tower block which is in South East London. 2 people remain alive on the roof-rookie cop officer whose name was Lizzie Adama (role played by Tahirah Sharif) and a 5-year-old boy.
DS Sarah Collins (Gemma Whelan) is then tasked with discovering out what exactly has happened on the roof. After officer Lizzie suddenly disappears, there is more than one mystery to get solved. Author Kate London is an ex-Met Police Officer herself, who served as part of a Major Investigation Team on the Homicide and Serious Crime Command.

The Crime writer was keen to mainly focus on the antagonistic relationship between Sergeant Sarh Collins and novice cop Lizzie Adama. When the actual truth of what happened at the top of the tower is disclosed, it will impact both of their lives forever. The experienced sergeant’s priorities are searching out why only 2 people made it out of the dreadful incident alive. The 3-part series will be telecast on consecutive days this week, with the final telecasting on Wednesday, 10th November 2021.
Where Is The Shooting Of The Tower?
Whilst the series is set in southeast London, it was actually shot in Liverpool and Manchester. Some shots were also shot in Cheshire, including a funeral scene at Runcorn Cemetery. Star Emmett Scanlan, who plays the role of Kieran Shaw in the series, stated he enjoyed being back in Liverpool. He stated that “Yeah, that was interesting. I was either filming in Manchester or Liverpool so frequenting streets that I used to frequent back in the year 2010.”
“That was surely a trip down memory lane. I do not really mind where I am filming so long as I am filming.”
