Death news is always the worst news to hear and with a sad heart we are sharing the demise news of former Union health Secretary Keshav Desiraj has demised on Sunday morning, 5th September 2021. His death news is a great loss for the world of politics and his party members and loved ones are in big grief. Keshav took his last breath at a hospital in Chennai and his death news comes on the occasion of Teacher’s Day noticeable of Desiraju’s grandfather and former President of India Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. As per the report of media, he passed away at a private hospital in the state of Chennai and the cause of his death is acute coronary syndrome.
Keshav Desiraju Death Reason
Keshav Desiraju has passed away at the age of 66. Keshav retired as the Union Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs and hold various other positions in the Government of India as well as worked with other state governments. Keshav was a scholar and researcher and also an advocate of prioritising mental health He was so much dedicated to his work as even after his retirement, the IAS officer continued to work in advisory boards of many organisations and gives contributions towards the improvement of public health.
How did Keshav Desiraju?
Previously, Keshav had penned a biography on Carnatic singer M S Subbalaksmi. He had also co-edited He Healers or Predators? Healthcare Corruption in India along with Sanjay Nagra and Samiran Nundy. After hearing his passing news many politician personalities took their social media account to pay the tribute to Keshav’s demise. MP Jairam Ramesh expresses his mourning through his Twitter handle as he wrote “My dear, dear friend for 57 years, Keshav Desiraju, a wonderful civil servant has no more between us. What a tragic irony that he has passed away on the day the nation marks the birthday of his grandfather.”
Keshav was a Uttrakhand cadre IAS officer from the batch of 1978. He holds a Masters Degree in Economics and he completed his MA from the University of Cambridge and also holds a Master degree in Public Administration as well which was from John F Kennedy School Of Government of Harvard University. Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan also paid tribute to Desiraju and remembered him as a member of the Chief Minister Rajasthan Economic Transformation Advisory Council.
