His death news is officially confirmed by his brother, Cormac O’Herlihy, who confirmed Friday to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety that the Irish actor has passed away on 15th September in Bath, England. He rejected to share a reason of his brother died with the magazines, however, he stated that his brother’s death was not connected to COVID-19.

As a teenager, he was a champion tennis player. After his time on “Happy Days”, O’Herlihy went on to appear in a number of films and television shows, including a role as a villain opposite Sean Connery in the 1983 James Bond movie “Never Say Never Again”.
