AJ Gustern, the grandson of Gustern declared in a Facebook post-Tuesday that his grandmother had passed away. He wrote that “We have lost one of the brightest little flames to ever grace this world. Bobbob, I love you so much, you are and always will be my heart.”

The police said that the lady was suspected of shoving Barbara Maier to her demise is still wanted. The attacker, who had long curly hair and wore a long black jacket, “crossed the street and pushed the 87-year-old lady in an unproved senseless attack,” James Essig, the New York police chief of detectives, informed reporters on Tuesday. It is a very severe wound.”
The death of Gustern comes at a challenging time for New York as the city grapples with increasing crime rates. As of the 1st week of March, major crimes were up 47% since the beginning of the year, compared to the same time last year, data from the New York Police Department shows. The officials of the city have also called for new safety measures to fight a recent spate of subway attacks after many people have been pushed and assaulted onto the tracks.
