As per the statement given by the Police in which they stated that on Thursday, 2nd September 2021 at around 3:30 PM officers responded along with EMS and Kawartha Lakes Fire to a three-vehicle crash which was happened on Highway 35, south of 7A. In the report, it is also mentioned that one driver was informed to be dead on the spot and one commuter was injured and immediately admitted to the hospital.
After this lethal collision, the highway is presently closed between Highway 7A East and Waite Road and it will be closed till the investigation is going on and the police gave advice to travellers to find some other ways for travelling and request the public to avoid travelling in this accident area.
