The widely famous battle royale video game Garena Free Fire has been taken down under the 69A Section of IT(Information Technology). This is not the first time when the Indian government took this kind of action as the officials previously banned over 200 apps that were originated from China including some giant apps like TikTok, Shareit, UC Browser, and PUBG Mobile.

According to the reports, the government banned the aforementioned game on 12th February 2022 as this game is developed by a Singapore-based company named Garena that was established back in 2009. After imposing the ban on the 59 Chinese apps a google spokesperson stated following the established process we have informed the affected developers and we have temporarily halted the access to these applications that remained available in India on the play store on receipt of the interim order passed under section 69A of Information Technology Act.
