And the next big query that is developing in the minds of the game lovers is why Free Fire has been taken down from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store? and here is the answer is recently the Indian government has published a list of 59 Chinese apps which have been banned by the authorities and the name of the aforementioned game is also included in that list and the reason behind this action of the officials is the day by day increasing tension between the two nations.

Why India Banned Apps Free Fire?

The widely famous battle royale video game Garena Free Fire has been taken down under the 69A Section of IT(Information Technology). This is not the first time when the Indian government took this kind of action as the officials previously banned over 200 apps that were originated from China including some giant apps like TikTok, Shareit, UC Browser, and PUBG Mobile.


According to the reports, the government banned the aforementioned game on 12th February 2022 as this game is developed by a Singapore-based company named Garena that was established back in 2009. After imposing the ban on the 59 Chinese apps a google spokesperson stated following the established process we have informed the affected developers and we have temporarily halted the access to these applications that remained available in India on the play store on receipt of the interim order passed under section 69A of Information Technology Act.
